Nick Kulkarni
Nick started using computers in 1980 and gained his first computer qualification in 1981.
In 1991 he began a Degree with the Open University.
In 1992 he passed CG730/1 as a Tutor in Adult and Further Education.
In 1993 he received a Distinction in Electronics Servicing CG224/1.
In 1998 he obtained the Diploma In Computing from the Open University.
Nick's work and life experience have seen wide variety: from Coaching Cricket and looking after Polo ponies in the Far East through Library and IT work in the UK and finally running his own business.
Having built a reputation for high quality work in a local IT business Nick was determined to offer the customer a choice from the unqualified "cowboy" and the "pile it high sell it cheap" national retail chain and their £1 a minute phone lines.
"People need real people," said Nick "and that will never change."
Len 'Babs' Prins
'Babs' joined us in September 2001 as a mature student with a background in Engineering and recent courses in Photography including Digital and Computing work. Already his previous experience has helped in work with a local engineering company's CNC turning machine.
Now qualified level 1 & 2 System Support Technician but is fast outstripping what he is taught in the college. As he would agree there is no substitute for hands-on experience.
